It’s been eight years since Andrea was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, but only two since the disease began to seriously affect her movement.

She began to lose control of her legs, just as her six-month old baby Oscar was discovering his own. As his boundaries widened, hers shrunk. And Andrea grew increasingly convinced that it was only a matter of time before she would no longer be able to care for her beloved son by herself.

Happily, that future Andrea feared never came to pass, thanks to the nurses and social workers who run our free MS Advisor Service. They found Andrea a home carer to support her parenting, ensuring she had the help she needed to stay happy, healthy and safe with her son.
