When Justine was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, she hoped she might be able to continue her life much as it was before. But three years on, Justine has had to give up her job and her passion for travel. She struggles to walk and to speak, and is now virtually housebound.
And yet Justine remains one of the most positive people you could ever hope to meet—something she attributes to the four constant companions in her life: “My partner Luke, my mum Maria, my dog Bear, and MS Connect—the wonderful service that has helped give me the strength to carry on.”
MS Connect put Justine in touch with a MS Nurse Advisor who helped her learn how to inject her medication; a brilliant physiotherapist to aid her mobility; and when she was feeling lonely, an MS Peer Support Group where she met her new best friend Stephen—all for free, thanks to generous donations from people like you.
